PHILADELPHIA (CNN) — One dog in Philadelphia is being rewarded for preventing what could have been an explosive situation.
Kobe is a four-year-old husky.
Last month, his owner, Channel Bell, noticed he was digging a hole in the yard which he has never done before.
Then a week later, he started digging in the same place.
Bell checked it out with a gas detection device and realized he was smelling a low-pressure gas leak.

BEDFORD COUTNY, Pa. (WJAC) — A massive fire erupted in Bedford County Thursday on the 10,000 block of Lincoln Highway in Everett.
Firefighters from four different counties responded to the large-scale fire at Bedford Valley Petroleum, but Bedford County Emergency Management Agency Director Dave Cubbison says it could’ve been a lot worse.
“Right around this area, we had facilities like AmeriGas, we had Spring House Estates, we had the hospital less than a mile away,” said Cubbison.

Johnstown, PA (WJAC) — Giant Eagle has issued a voluntary recall of several bakery items, that contain peanut butter, that were sold at three area stores due to potential salmonella contamination.
Officials say the bakery items were sold at stores in Ebensburg, Indiana and Northern Cambria.
Giant Eagle says the impacted items were sold in "clam shell packaging," have sell by dates through May 28 and contain one of the following 11 PLU numbers:

Somerset Co., PA (WJAC) — State police say a section of the Pennsylvania Turnpike, in Somerset Township, was closed for over 6 hours early Wednesday morning following a hit-and-run crash involving a truck hauling ice cream.
Police say the crash occurred just before 1 a.m. near the 110.6 mile marker, according to the crash report.
Investigators say a flatbed tractor-trailer was traveling in the right-hand lane and was attempting to pass the truck hauling ice cream when it crossed into the left lane and struck the other truck.

TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) — The Satanic Temple (TST) announced its plans to have ministers in public schools across Oklahoma after the state House passed Senate Bill 36.
The measure would allow volunteer chaplains in public schools. However, there are some strings attached.
Districts must conduct background checks, and cannot employ a chaplain who is a registered sex offender or convicted of a felony offense.
