JOHNSTOWN - Cambria-Rowe Business College is closing its doors Aug. 24.
The school's accrediting body, the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS), is currently under fire with the Department of Education and could lose its recognition.
During a hearing on June 24, 2016, the Department of Education recommended ACICS lose its accreditation. Right now, ACICS are still a recognized accrediting body. The U.S. Department of Education secretary has 90 days from the hearing to make a decision, and ACICS can then appeal it within 30 days.

EBENSBURG, Pa (WJAC) — There was a "Spud Stroll" event Saturday in downtown Ebensburg, meant to carry on the town’s "Potato Fest" tradition on a smaller scale.
Organizers say the event was created to continue supporting local businesses without drawing too many people to one place.
Visitors gathered in the Penn Eben Park, and the surrounding streets downtown, to listen to music, eat some food, and hang out with friends.

Lowe’s locations across the country are helping those on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic. Stores are donating supplies that are in high demand like cleaning supplies and gloves.
“Do it right for less:” A slogan Lowe’s locations across the company are taking to heart.
The company has donated over $170 million worth of supplies to first responders over the past month and doesn’t plan on stopping anytime soon.

REYNOLDSVILLE, Pa. (WJAC) — The Borough of Reynoldsville announced Monday that longtime councilwoman Mary Jane Clark has died.
According to the borough, Clark died Saturday morning at the Penn Highlands Brookville Hospital. Clark, 74, had served on the borough council since 2002 and also worked with the Reynlow Park board, RAID and Chamber of Commerce boards, according to the borough. Clark also served as a volunteer EMT for the Reynoldsville Ambulance Company.

Official EPA fuel economy ratings have been released for the 2020 Ford Escape Hybrid, and they’re among the best in its class.
The Escape Hybrid achieves 41 mpg combined (44 mpg city, 37 highway) with front wheel drive, or 40 mpg combined (43 mpg city, 37 mpg highway) with all-wheel drive.
The current segment leader up until now, the Toyota RAV4, gets 40 mpg combined (41 mpg city, 38 highway), and only comes in all-wheel-drive form.

DIMMITT, Texas (KVII) — One person is in critical condition and an unknown number of cows are dead after an explosion and fire at a dairy in northern Texas.
The Castro County Sheriff’s Office said it received eight 911 calls Monday night about an explosion and fire at the South Fork Dairy, a little over an hour south of Amarillo.
Multiple callers said some employees were trapped inside the dairy milking building.

Indiana County, PA (WJAC) — State police in Indiana County say two men are behind bars after they allegedly threatened another man over the weekend at a local car wash.
Police say on Sunday, troopers were dispatched to the Wash Werkz, located along Oakland Ave., for a report of a disturbance involving a handgun and a baseball bat.
